With the summery weather in London showing no signs of stopping anytime soon, I have chosen my favourite places to enjoy the sun in the capital – as it can get really hot and sweaty, so having some lovely outside places to chill out is ideal!
For after-work drinks: Pergola on the Roof Paddington
This is my favourite place to head to for outdoor drinks after work. They also have food stalls which change regularly, and all the food is delicious so you could eat here too!
For sunny outdoor brunch: Megan’s
This is my FAVOURITE place – I never stop going on about it! But the outdoor space in the New King’s Road café is so gorgeous, Instagrammable and summery. I highly recommend their shakshuka!
For a picnic: Kensington Gardens
One of my favourite summery activities to do in London is pop to Whole Foods on Kensington High Street, pick up lots of yummy snacks and goodies, and then head to the nearby Kensington Gardens and have a chilled picnic! I find that Kensington Gardens never gets too busy, and you can also do a spot of shopping too!
Best for going out: Queen of Hoxton, Shoreditch
Queen of Hoxton is a fab fusion between a club and a bar, with the best outdoor space. They have a cocktail and food menu, but with the hot weather, being able to go between the downstairs club and the terrace is ideal.
Best pub: The Phene
This pub is my go-to for chilled drinks on the weekend, or a cheeky meal out. The outdoor garden feels really private and is always buzzy. Their drinks aren’t cheap, but are delicious and I love the atmosphere.
Best ice cream: Gelupo
I couldn’t do a post about summery activities without mentioning ice cream! Gelupo really is the best ice cream I’ve tried in London (and I’ve tried a fair few!). Their flavour combinations are always amazing, but I tend to gravitate towards their dark chocolate sorbet (divine). Flavours such as fig or melon sorbet with cinnamon appear, and the flavours change regularly so you’ll never get bored!
I hope you have the best time enjoying this amazing weather in the best capital in the world!
