I have constantly struggled with finding the best pants to wear under activewear and, in my view, this topic is not talked about enough. So many pairs of underwear that I own just don’t do the job under my sports leggings. Whether it’s the sweat factor, super obvious VPL or mere lack of comfort, I have long been on the hunt for a great pair of pants which will do the job. Just Fit Wear comes out top for me.
I adore Sweaty Betty for their workout gear, but I have found their underwear to be a little unflattering. Similarly, Lululemon’s Mula bikini is so soft, but doesn’t seem to be brilliant at preventing/absorbing sweat. Their Namaste thong is similar – there are no seams around the legs, ensuring comfort and making it more discreet, but it is still sweaty! I am keen to try Australian brand Bonds, however it’s super difficult and expensive to ship it to the UK – if anyone has tried them yet, let me know what you think!
When I tried out Just Fit Wear, I was seriously impressed. The packaging is discreet yet fancy, and the underwear itself is amazing. As soon as I tried them on, I was struck by the amazing quality. The material is so soft, they are totally sweat wicking so you don’t get any sweaty bum syndrome (!). They are also seamless so are really comfortable and there is no sign of VPL. During my workout, I actually forgot I had any pants on (lol!) – which is quite rare, as usually the thongs I wear dig into my waist.
I am no tech expert, so I don’t entirely understand how the technology works, but it’s definitely effective and genius! They use NASA technology to temperature regulate, so the pants keep you warm when you’re cold and absorbs heat when you’re working up a sweat.
I’m told long-distance runners prefer the boy-shorts and the thong, while the bikini is perfect for everyday workouts. Personally, I love the bikini and the thong – I am usually partial to working out in a thong underneath my leggings, so I am inclined to go for the thong in their range, however I usually do it to prevent excessive VPL, and that is not an issue with these pants.
I have browsed their website and they do a really cool-looking base layer that I just might have to pick up!
Let me know if you love these too, or if you have any other fitness underwear recommendations!
